Abstract

An anthropological game theory is proposed, which centers on the notion of "gift". It has been drawn up in the hope of giving an anthropological foundation to economical and social theories, which takes interpersonal relations seriously. More specifically, it is an axiomatic game theory, which orients human social action in a way that corresponds to the notion of person as proposed by Leonardo Polo. The axioms are: 1) we play; 2) the players (and the games) are different; 3) there are rules; 4) one wins by continuing the play; 5) one doesn't play alone; 6) it is the next move that is the best one; 7) there is a board on which the game is played; 8) by playing one improves one's game.
