Abstract

This study aims to see the support of the family as a supervisor for taking medication by taking medication for TB patients at the Pitu Community Health Center, Central Tobelo District. The method used in this research is quantitative with a cross sectional approach. The sampling technique used total sampling on respondents with a history of tuberculosis and their families. The data was collected through a questionnaire. The results of statistical tests showed that there was a relationship between family support as a supervisor for taking medication with medication related to TB patients (P value = 0.001). 43 respondents (78%) provided a good level of family support, took medicine by 78% and 12 respondents (22%) provided poor family support with a level of taking medicine by 22%. Based on the results of the study, family support as a supervisor of taking medication who has a background on the level of taking medication in TB patients.
