Abstract
This study was aimed to know feeding effect of feed composed of microparticle egg shell with supplemental probiotic Lactobacillus sp. on relative weight and length of small intestine also carcass weight. Experimental animals were 160 birds of 14 days old broiler chickens strain New Lohmann MB 202 with average body weight of 407,65 ± 16,51 g. Experiment was arranged in a completely randomized design with 5 treatments and 4 replications (8 birds each). Treatments applied were T0 = feed with 21% protein; T1 = feed with 18% protein; T2 = T1composed of microparticle egg shell; T3 = T1+ 1.2 ml Lactobacillus sp.; T4 = T2+ 1.2 ml Lactobacillus sp. Parameters observed including relative weight of small intestine, length of small intestine and carcass weight. Data were statistically analyzed using analysis of variance and continued to Duncan test. Results showed that ration with 18% protein using microparticle egg shell flour plus 1.2 ml Lactobacillus sp. significantly affected (P<0,05) on relative weight of duodenum, length of duodenum and carcass weight. Conclusion is that ration with 18% protein composed of microparticle egg shell plus 1.2 ml Lactobacillus sp. (T4) improve relative weight and length of duodenum also improve carcass weight.
