Abstract
The article focuses on a report by the Lancaster University's The Work Foundation regarding the use of employee assistance programmes (EAPs) to improve productivity and performance in many organizations. Topics include reduction in sickness absence and mental health problems, well-being of employees, and function of human resource (HR) managers.
