Abstract

This study aims to examine the culture of oro kino-kino traditional game and explore the concept of effort and energy for science learning that can be integrated in oro kino-kino traditional game. Oro kino-kino is a traditional game that is rich in cultural values and has high educational potential. This research uses a qualitative approach with ethnographic methods to deeply understand the cultural aspects inherent in the oro kino-kino game. In addition, this research also explores how science concepts, particularly effort and energy, can be applied and taught through this game. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with cultural actors, direct observation, as well as document analysis related to the traditional game oro kino-kino. The results showed that oro kino-kino game not only plays a role in cultural preservation, but can also be an effective medium for science learning. The concept of effort and energy taught through the context of oro kino-kino game is able to improve students' understanding of science material in a fun and contextualised way. The findings provide important implications for the development of local culture-based science learning curricula and offer an innovative approach for the integration of culture and science education in schools.
