Regular watches at a colony of Tysties at Fair Isle revealed some interesting aspects of social activity, and of the behaviour of adults when bringing food for their young. So far as could be seen the prey consisted entirely of fish of a wide range of species, all of which appear to be of little or no importance in the food-spectrum of the other British auks. © 1972 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
