Abstract

Involvement of physiotherapist in enhanced recovery after surgery concerns the overall surgical specialties. Physiotherapist is active in both ICU and conventional surgery departments. He takes a substantial place in patient physical training, like in context of prehabilitation or postoperative early ambulation. Physiotherapist is involved in respiratory management of patient like monitoring of pulmonary deficiencies which he can treat. He also contributes to analgesia optimization. His role in the enhanced recovery after surgery program is integrated into a multidisciplinary team.
