Abstract

Kemang plant is a plant that has the value of local wisdom in certain areas, especially in Bogor and Sukabumi. This study aims to determine the values of environmental policy and the value of local wisdom which is the basis for mysticism in specific communities toward the Kemang plant. The method used is qualitative with a descriptive analysis research design. The research sample consisted of 46 people who were taken by random sampling technique. The variables studied are indicators of plant availability, utilization of plants, aspects of local knowledge, local social processes, and circulating local wisdom values. The local community uses the plant as food and board, based on field results that the Kemang plant is experiencing extinction. 95% of the community believes that Buyut nonactive disease if passes the Kemang plant, its Buyut is nonactive will experience active disease. 89% of people with Buyut disease have the condition.
