Abstract

The new antibiotic gardimycin has an interesting in vitro antibacterial activity against Gram-positive bacteria and Neisseria gonorrhoeae. Parenteral administration gives a high degree of protection against experimental infections in mice. It also shows some chemotherapeutic activity when given rectally. © 1976, JAPAN ANTIBIOTICS RESEARCH ASSOCIATION. All rights reserved.
