Gardimycin, a new antibiotic from actionoplanes III. Biological properties

Abstract

The new antibiotic gardimycin has an interesting in vitro antibacterial activity against Gram-positive bacteria and Neisseria gonorrhoeae. Parenteral administration gives a high degree of protection against experimental infections in mice.
