Investigación sobre bibliotecología, ciencia de la información, e inteligencia empresarial, a través de las presentaciones a los congresos INFO e intempres: Un análisis bibliométrico (2002-2012)

Abstract

This article describes a bibliometric analysis of two Cuban events over a decade, 2002-2012: the International Congress of Information and the International Workshop on Business Intelligence and Knowledge Management in the Enterprise. The bibliometric indicators applied were: productivity of authors, countries, years, institutions, language, type of study (theoretical / empirical) and term co-occurrence. A total of 1342 papers were obtained, in which Cuba, Mexico, Brazil and Spain stood out as countries with the greatest presence. Authors from these countries were also highly participative, mostly from the higher education sector. The papers presented were largely empirical and five basic research lines are highlighted: (1) bibliometrics, (2) education and information literacy, (3) information and knowledge management, (4) library activity and information dissemination, and (5) information technology. In short, important patterns of information research productivity were achieved through two of the most representative scientific events celebrated in the Ibero-American context.
