Abstract

A 66-year-old man presented hyperpigmentation and stiffness of lower extremities more than one year. Physical examination showed xerosis and pigmentation on his low extremities, and the skin touched hard. The histopathological examination showed hyperplasia of fibroblasts and collagen in the whole dermis and septal panniculus. The patient had diabetes for 11 years and diabetic nephropathy for 2 years. Based on the clinical and pathological data, the nephrogenic fibrosing dermopathy combined with diabetic nephropathy was diagnosed.
