Abstract

BRT lite is the backbone of the public transport system in Semarang that potentially contributes to the city's resilient mobility. Although it has been a decade since the operation of BRT lite began, its performance has not led to a significant shift from the use of private vehicles to public transport. Therefore, this study aims to assess the performance of BRT lite service in supporting the concept of a resilient city. The assessment was performed by measuring city- and corridor-level performances using a scoring method against a set of standards of infrastructure and operational factors. At the city level, the performance only fulfilled 45.12% of the standard. At the corridor level, the best performance was shown by corridors I and IV, with 15% and 6%, respectively, over the average point percentage. BRT lite in Semarang has not yet been considered resilient as it still needs improvement on indicators that ensure accessibility, responsiveness to disruption, and inclusivity.
