Abstract
CuInSe 2 (CIS) layers have been deposited using the electrospray deposition process on glass substrates. CIS nano-particles are first synthesized using solvo-thermal process and then two types of inks have been prepared which differ on the basis of surfactants added to the colloidal solutions. One of the inks contains Triton as surfactant while the other contains Polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP). ESD process is used for the deposition of ∼1 μm thick CIS layers on glass substrates. The deposited layers are assessed and evaluated on the basis of their jetting behavior, surface integrity and structural analysis thereby confirming the homogeneity and purity of the deposited layers through a very stable Electrospraying process.
