Abstract

Transport properties, conductance of electrolyte solutions and viscosity of their solvents, as well as dielectric properties are discussed in the framework of applications in modern technology. Electrolyte solutions in high energy batteries with lithium anodes are chosen for exemplifying both the role of the solvent and the fulfilment of supplementary conditions imposed by technical applications. The generation of electrolyte property profiles by means of a data base is used and the data and method base for electrolyte solutions, ELDAR, is presented. © 1985 IUPAC
