Abstract

The study aims to rate how mothers’ beliefs about their child’s personality and deve- lopment progress through a counseling program. 46 mothers take part to this study and were strictly matched on their educational level, their child’s age, gender and disability. 23 mothers in the experimental group have received the program based on the socio- cognitive conflict. The results have shown that the program enhance positive beliefs concerning the child’s personality and development and mothers’ self-efficacy beliefs.
