Abstract
This study aims to characterize the main research topics that have been addressed regarding the Latin American Integrated Market (MILA) and, based on this, propose future study directions. To this end, 85 articles related to this field, published between 2008 and 2022 in journals indexed in Scopus, WOS and Google Scholar, were reviewed. The results suggest that research on MILA focused on several attributes of financial markets and corporate reporting following the integration agreement, which, along with exploratory studies on the transactional efficiency of the platform, will continue to be strengthened after the potential incorporation of new members to this market and the merger of the stock exchanges of Chile, Colombia and Peru to create the Nuam Exchange.
