Abstract

This article reviews the present status and the trends in the applications of cyclodextrins in chiral selective chromatography. The outstanding role of cyclodextrins is generally acknowledged in methods using capillary columns (GC, SFC and CE), but their significance is also increasing in other modes of chromatography (LC, SFC and TLC). The mechanism of wide-ranging chiral recognition features of cyclodextrins is discussed. © 2002 Published by Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
