Abstract
Background: Ergonomics is one of the factors that can cause health problems. Inappropriate work attitudes can cause complaints in the form of muscle pain caused by unnatural work postures due to the demands of tasks, work tools and workplaces that are not in accordance with work abilities. Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) are injuries or disorders of muscles, nerves, tendons, joints, cartilage and spinal discs due to environmental conditions, activities and working conditions. Oil and Natural Gas (Migas) is an important commodity, not only in the past and present, but will also continue to play a role as the world's largest energy contributor in the next few decades. One of the upstream oil and gas activities in the search for oil and gas reserves is seismic survey. Objective: One of the health problems most often suffered by workers in this activity is musculoskeletal disorders in the form of complaints in the skeletal muscles that are felt by a person ranging from very mild complaints to very sick. Methods: The study was conducted on seismic workers in South Sumatra Province using a quantitative cross sectional analytical study with a population of 702 workers. Data retrieval using questionnaires and ergonomic risk measurement using REBA worksheets, while for MSDs complaints using the Nordic Body Map (NBM). The most complaints of MSDs were in the left calf by 78 (39.2%), the right calf by 63 (31.7%) and the waist by 17 (8.5%). neck, right shoulder, left shoulder and back respectively by 16(8%), left leg by 11(5.5%), right leg by 9(4.5%), right ankle by 8(4%), left hand 7(3.5%), right wrist and left ankle 5(2.5%), left wrist, right hand and right thigh 3(1.5%)., right knee and left knee respectively 2(1%) samples. Results: Analysis of the level of ergonomics risk using REBA and WAC based on posture, load, duration and frequency of the activities of oil and gas seismic workers, the lowest risk was found in trajectory measurement activities, namely medium risk, while almost all activities had very high risk levels except loading lifting. pull and pre loading which have a high risk level. Conclusion: This study concludes that based on the activities of oil and gas seismic workers, the lowest risk is found in trajectory measurement activities, namely medium risk, while almost all activities have a very high risk level, except for loading pull and pre loading which have a high risk level.
