Abstract

Gulls with characteristics of Thayer's and Kumlien's gulls, Larus thayeri and Larus glaucoides kumlieni, were found apparently interbreeding at a colony on Bell Peninsula, eastern Southhampton Island. The taxonomic status of L. thayeri may require re-evaluation.
