Abstract

By reviewing the training of medical professionals, one can identify simi-arities as well as interesting possibilities for the preparation of education professionals. On a very basic level, the fields of medicine and education hold the following in common:• Both fields are practice-oriented.• Both fields require individuals with problem-solving and decision-making skills.• Interpersonal relationship skills are a requisite for success in either field.• Information in both fields multiplies daily.• Lectures alone cannot convey the skills required for success in these fields.
