Abstract

A method is described for the numerical integration of unequally spaced data using cubic interpolation. The classical integration formulae employing divided differences have been adapted to permit easy and systematic computation, and the method embodied in an ALGOL procedure which yields the value of the integral between any pair of the ordered data points together with an indication of the error. © 1972 The British Computer Society.
