Abstract

Presents a one and a half layer reduced gravity model, numerically studied in parallel to previous analytical studies by Huang and Flierl. The emphasis is on strong non-linearity, especially when the lower layer outcrops. Results indicate highly asymmetric circulation patterns in a subtropical/subpolar basin. (from author's abstract)
