Abstract
The « filiative genogram », initiated by Bowen, is a subjective representation of the registered family which gives us our roots. The imaginary genogram suggests the representation of the way we continuously project and transform onto those around us, the impact of our own history and our family background. It reveals to us the way we build ourselves, day after day, an « affiliation family » among the close circle of acquaintances, dead or alive, be they friends, fellow workers or members of the original family. It, then, brings back to everyone's responsibility in what is kept alive or, on the contrary, in what is cancelled from one's family history. We first give the formalities of the working out, then an example taken from its use in family therapy, to end up with its adaptation into practice analysis.
