Abstract

This paper studies the relation between typography and identity appropriation process, which are the consequence of the development of a visual culture in a certain territory. The study is focused on the analysis of the Granaina Font case. The ceramic from Granada is studied as the graphic source and the inspiration for the typographic project. The selection, design and programmation process of the typeface is detailed as well as the many applications that were made after its free distribution (Creative Commons).
