Sexually transmitted diseases: An overview

Abstract

Over the past decade there has been a marked increase in the numbers of patients attending sexually transmitted diseases clinics. Although the relative importance of the venereal diseases has declined, the prevalence of other conditions, particularly non-specific genital tract and viral infections, has increased.
