Abstract
Higher education institutions in Colombia play an important role in the processes of disaster risk management from their missionary activities, providing the service of science and technology in order to improve the capacities of the different institutions and territories of thecountry, the collection of significant experiences of the "Institución Universitaria Colegio Mayor de Antioquia"ispresented.
