Abstract

The incorporation of Mn in Fe-doped LiNbO3 leads to photochromic behavior involving photoreversible conversion of Fe3+ to Fe 2+. This process can be used to advantage to control the holographic storage sensitivity of the material. © 1974 American Institute of Physics.
