PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA AS A COMPONENT OF INFORMATION SECURITY

Abstract

The article, based on the analysis of available research and personal observations, presents main approaches to the understanding of the notion of protection of personal data. Peculiarities of protection of personal data as a component of information security are revealed in the article. The concept and content of the category of protection of personal data, aimed at preventing misuse of personal data as well as protection and restoration of violated rights are considered. The legal regulation of the institute of personal data protection and the need to improve the methods and means of legal protection of the institute of personal data are analyzed.
