Abstract

Two species of the cockroaches of the genus Trichoblatta were described and illustrated. T. pygmaea (Karny) was now revealed to range from the southern extreme of Kyushu to Taiwan through the islands of the Ryukyus. This species is found under barks and gathering on the fungi. T. nigra (Shiraki) has been known as a Taiwanese insect, but it was discovered from Ishigaki Island (♀) in 1982 and from Iriomote Island (♂) in 1986,both islands belonging to the Yayeyama Group close to Taiwan.
