Análisis de la expulsión de los extranjeros en Chile desde 2012 a 2020

Abstract

Under the framework of criminalization, the expulsion of foreigners in Chile is examined, both as an administrative sanction and judicial penalty, from 2012 to the present, outlining the course that the sanctioning scheme has followed. It is investigated how this measure has evolved according to the type of expulsion, its specificity, the nationalities and the territory in which they are concentrated. Examining the data, it is observed that in Chile deportations have increased in recent years, especially those that operate as a substitution of punishment, thus a shift in politics is verified, characterized by the preponderance of judicial expulsions, which have a high level of specificity compared to the administrative ones. While materialized administrative deportations have decreased since 2018, administrative expulsion orders have increased considerably, this low level of execution, together with the sharp rise in complaints for clandestine entry, produces a considerable increase in expellable subjects, imposing a governance that is more What to expel makes migratory flows more precarious.
