Abstract
Ride the (micro)wave: The title strategy has been developed for the synthesis of various symmetric or unsymmetric hydroxylated stilbenoids utilizing 4-halophenols and acrylic acid as coupling partners (see scheme; DMA=N,N-dimethylacetamide, MW=microwave). Protecting groups are not necessary and a single palladium catalyst is used. Copyright © 2012 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim.
