Abstract
This study describes a spatio-temporal cluster of Senecavirus A (SVA) outbreaks reported in a midwestern US slaughter plant during the summer of 2017. Data was collected on multiple site characteristics to conduct risk factor analysis. On June 8, 2017, 6 of 10 finishing pig lots delivered to the plant tested positive by reverse transcriptionpolymerase chain reaction for SVA RNA. Subsequently, 88 lots presented vesicular lesions at the plant, and 74 lots tested positive between June 8 and July 10, 2017, which was a significant temporal cluster.
