Abstract

Didactic games for science teaching have proved to be very significant for students' learning, breaking with traditional teaching models, and increasing motivation. This research seeks to validate several didactic games for teaching and learning the chemical elements and their information in the periodic table through the judgment of experts, which are specialists in chemistry and educational technology. This was a field research framed in a particular project, and the instrument was the Likert rating scale. Concerning the results obtained, on average, the acceptance of the didactic games is over 85%. In the pilot of their application, the percentage of students who approved when using the games was 86.3%— which is higher than the percentage of students who approved when not using the games (42.5%). The average score shows differences ranging from 18.5 to 12.6 points, with and without didactic games, respectively.
