Abstract
The paper proposes a new statistic model able to quantify the public administrations ’ performance. The analysis’ main goal is to obtain a performance ranking starting from the historical results reported by the accounting system of the regional European administrations. The used methods are the descriptive analysis of databases, the study of the literature on regional models of economic growth and the development optimization measures based on the principles of good practice in local management. The results of the analysis allow to create general performance profiles and objective measurement of the optimization measures in line with the specific European performance targets.
