Abstract

A method using membrane filters of appropriate pore size, to selectively isolate actinomycetes from a mixed population of soil microorganisms, is described. The method is based on the ability of actinomycetes to propagate and pass through the pores of filters while bacteria and fungi are retained on the membrane surface. © 1984.
