Abstract

The University is currently undergoing a transformation from just a mere vehicle for the transmission of knowledge to a propitious environment for the acquisition and development of professional skills. Confronted with these changes, and in consonance with European Higher Education guidelines, teachers face the need to seek new methods for improving the teaching-learning process in order to promote the acquisition of these abilities. Using autobiographical narratives, we address the teaching staff performance with a focus on the more frequent teaching strategies and its advantages and disadvantages.
