Abstract

The holotype of Inocybe catalaunica Sing. has been studied. It is concluded that this is the same as Inocybe subbrunnea Kühner, this last considered by some authors as conspecific with Inocybe leiocephala Stuntz. As I. catalaunica was validly described in 1947, it takes nomenclatural priority over the other two taxa.
