Abstract

Th2-type inflammation has been proposed to facilitate tumor growth. In De Monte et al. we identify in pancreatic cancer a complex cytokine/chemokine cross-talk within the tumor microenvironment mediating Th2 immune-deviation and show that the ratio of Th2/Th1 tumor infiltrating lymphocytes is an independent predictive marker of patients survival. © 2012 Landes Bioscience.
