Abstract
Households are essential places of observation for understanding the extent to which measures to contain COVID-19 have limited the availability of social care resources and have thus made families, in particular women, responsible once again for providing care. An analysis of interviews conducted during the CUMADE project allows us to reflect on how the pandemic has impacted what providing care means for those women who care for elderly and dependent persons. In particular, we are interested in how it has affected the arrangements inherent in the new care mosaics, and has accentuated the moral dilemmas that emerge when taking the decision to provide most care either inside or outside the home.
