Abstract

A new species of Syncarpella, a genus previously reported only on Asteraceae, is described from Ribes of the Grossulariaceae. The anamorph is a new species and eustromatic genus, Syntholus, whose strongly erumpent conidiomata usually precede the ascomata on a common hypostroma.
