Abstract

This paper will introduce a DC-DC buck (Step Down) converter for providing higher efficiency than the conventional DC-DC buck converter at switching frequency and load variation. Accurate circuit designing helps to reduce heat sinking and increase efficiency thus lengthen the battery life of electronic appliances. Additional number of inductors and diodes will be added in the proposed converter for better performance. The superiority of the proposed DC-DC buck converter's efficiency to the conventional one will be ascertained by the PSIM simulation result. By using this software, there will be a graphical representation of voltages and currents of different circuit components for the proposed DC-DC buck converter for the best clarification.
