Abstract

This article presents the results of the development of the operation parameters of the rotor and wheel-finger rakes of different designs and working widths. To select efficient machine units for raking grasses, field studies and computer experiments on computers with simulation models of the processes of harvesting hay and haylage were performed. The results of studies of the specific total and energy costs made it possible to establish that of all the compared models, the most effective in raking grasses are the wheel-finger rake with a working width of 6.5-7.5 m.
