This study aimed to evaluate the effect of adjuvants on droplet size, surface tension, contact angle and control of Enneothrips flavens on peanut crop. We used adjuvants (vegetable oil, mineral oil and tributyl citrate + polydimethylsiloxane) in spray insecticide (thiamethoxam + lambda-cyhalothrin), to control of E. flavens on cultivar peanut with creeping growth habit. The data of droplet size, surface tension, contact angle, control (scale notes of damage caused by E. flavens) and crop yield were submitted to analysis of variance and the treatments compared by Tukey test at 5% significance. We concluded that the field application of insecticide with vegetable oil is the most consistent on E. flavens control and promotes safer spraying condition due to the formation of droplets more uniform and less susceptible to spray drift.
