Maestros rurales de la provincia de Arica en el contexto de las reformas educacionales, 1960 y 1990

Abstract

Este artículo analiza las características del maestro rural de la provincia de Arica en el contexto de las reformas educativas entre los años sesenta y noventa. El trabajo se sustenta en antecedentes históricos y en entrevistas a profesores rurales que ejercieron su docencia al interior de la provincia de Arica, en el período de las reformas educacionales en referencia. La finalidad de este estudio es la relación de la escuela fiscal chilena con el mundo andino de la región de Tarapacá, correspondiéndole a este artículo abordar lo acontecido en la provincia de Arica entre 1960 y 1990.This article analyses the characteristics of the rural teacher of the province of Arica (Chile) in the context of the Educational reforms of the 60s and 90s. The essay is historically based, as well as on interviews to rural teachers who taught in the inner lands of the province of Arica during the years the educational reforms were accomplished. The purpose of this work is to show the relationship between Chilean state schools and the Andean world of the region of Tarapacá. This article refers to the events that tookplace in the province of Arica between the years 1960 and 1990.
