Abstract

Many university students have problems in their careers and need professional help to solve these problems. Career centers are available at universities to meet the career needs of students. This study aims to examine reasons for students to apply and the constructions, functions, services, the strengths and weaknesses of career centers in universities. Data were gathered from career counseling centers of four public and seven private universities in Istanbul using Career Center Survey developed by researchers. In the light of findings, suggestions have been offered for career center model for higher education in Turkey.
