Abstract

Automated Teller Machine (ATM) is a self-serve banking facility that used to facilitate the human generation to withdraw money easily. This facility can be found in different countries which have their own bank. In this technological era, each people have their own mobile phone that may cause mobile phone to become more necessary for the human generation in future. Therefore, the cooperation of ATM and mobile phone will be researched. This research reviews the relationship between ATM and the mobile phone to bring the next generation ATM in the future. The convenience sampling is determined as the methodology to conduct this study in Malaysia. 100 common ATM user range age from 21-60 in Malaysia will participate in this research. The used of the next generation ATM that using card scanning and OTP will increase the security and safety of user. This article will research the generation of OTP in mobile phone and how the ATM card scanning, and OTP are used to reduce the misuse of ATM card and pin number. The card scanning can be cancelled if the security and safety in future is ensured. This recommendation allows the user to withdraw the money without using ATM card.
