Abstract

The rates of upwelling calculated from the change in temperature distribution derived from two sets of hydrological stations (0.0107 cm.r‐1) and the rate of upwelling calculated from the wind derived transport offshore for the period between the collection of the hydrological data (0.0086 cm.s‐1) are found to be consistent. © 1972 Taylor & Francis Ltd.
