A teoria da relatividade de Einstein apresentada para a Amazônia

Abstract

Neste artigo tratamos da introdução da teoria da relatividade de Einstein na Amazônia brasileira, o que ocorreu por ocasião da passagem dos cientistas britânicos Andrew C. D. Crommelin e Charles R. Davidson por Belém do Pará, antes e depois das medidas por eles realizadas em Sobral, no Ceará, durante o eclipse total do Sol de 29 de maio de 1919.We report the introduction of Einstein's theory of relativity in the Brazilian Amazonia, that happened during the passage by the city of Belém, in the state of Pará, of the British scientists Andrew C. D. Crommelin and Charles R. Davidson, prior and after the measurements performed by them in the city of Sobral, in the state of Ceará, during the total solar eclipse of May 29, 1919.
