Abstract

For people with autism spectrum disorders (ASD), the application of a technological tool, like augmented reality (AR), in their intervention programs is a new and still unexplored option. This literature review examines studies that have used AR for direct intervention to people with ASD. It must be mentioned though that since the incorporation of AR in intervention programs is in its infancy, this literature review will only provide a review of the few initial studies that exist and also some proposals for future development and evaluation.
