Abstract
 2018 was as a political year, it is because the process of the presidential election and legislative elections 2019 have officially begun and resulted in a very dynamics competition. Furher, the increasing of political dynamics and the development of identity politics through the narrative of SARA (ethnicity, religion, race, between groups) issue can impact on the society segregation eventually. A research by Indonesian Institute of Science (LIPI) and Indonesian National Counter Terorism Agency (BNPT) have revaaled that students in some universities are potentially becomes more radical. This study aims to: (a) finding out students' perceptions of social solidarity; (b) understanding the student perceptions on national integration; (c) analyzing the potentioanl of being radical among the students. A qualitative survey has been conducetd to capture the student perception on particular issue related to radicalism and national integration. Data was collected from the qualitative survey and it was also completed with the data analysis from literature study and observation. The results of the study shows that: first, the majority of respondents have a positive perception on social solidarity with their fellow citizens in the community who have a different social and cultural, religious, ethnicity, customs, and language background. Second, the majority of respondents have a very positive perceptions on national integration. Third, there is no indication that the increasing of being radical found among FISIP University of Lampung students.Researches conducted by the Indonesian Institute of Science (LIPI) and the Indonesian National Counter-Terrorism Agency (BNPT) have revealed that students in some of the major universities in Indonesia have become potentially radical. The study results show that: first, the majority of informants have a positive perception toward social solidarity to their fellow citizens in the community who have a different social, cultural, religious, ethnicity and language background. Second, the majority of informants have a very positive perception of national integration. Third, there is no indication of increasing radical behavior among FISIP University of Lampung’s students.
